The outer loops represent 90% of Panorama’s Nordic trail system. They are groomed twice a week (or as needed) by a snow cat and offer both skate and classic tracks. Just 20 km from the resort (accessible by free shuttle bus) is the Lake Windermere Whiteway, recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest ice-skating loop and alongside it is a 15km Nordic loop which is groomed

This concrete trail extends from Aspen to the Aspen Business Center and can be used as part of a loop using the Rio Grande and Stein Download Trail Map.

If you access the trails from Mushers Hall on Farmer’s Loop (as opposed to from elsewhere in Creamer’s Field), you’ll need a trail pass.

The Nordic Trail System is located in the Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest and offers many miles of cross country ski trails for skiers (and hikers when there is no snow). The mix of prairie and hilly woodlands provides something for everyone. Map Cross-country skiing this 1.8 mile loop is an excellent introduction to Nordic adventuring in Mammoth Lakes and the unique winter charms of Shady Rest. Great if you’re looking to get acclimatized or on a heavy storm day, the moderate terrain includes some slight hills as the trail wind through a beautiful Jeffrey pine and red fir forest.
